Default Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta 315 questions

Let me first start out saying that this is my first time buying new wheels and I just want to get it right. So sorry for the noob questions.

I will be buying new wheels and tires in the next couple months and had a couple questions.

I am planning on getting 17" Black ZR1 wheels(9.5 front, 11 rear).
And I will be putting them on my 01 Formula (Stock height).

For tires I am set on the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires. For the last couple hours I have been reading reviews and every review I have read says nothing but good things. One of them mentioned that they look wider then other tires. I dont know if the person said this because of the design which makes them look wider then they really are or that they actually are wider then others. I have read on here that some tires like BFGs and couple others actually do run wider then others.

But what I am basicly trying to get at is will the Vredesteins rub with out mods?

Will I need spacers in there?

I don't plan on lowering my car anytime soon. I have true duals. There actually is space for me to tuck them up more so I could lower it but the stock height is fine for me. I will prolly just get some new shocks. But anyways.

Will I need to do anything to make these fit perfect with no rubbing? Being that I am at stock height I was thinking/hoping I won't have to do the BFH mod or rolling the fenders. If I have to I will. Also what exaclty is the BFH mod? I know your pounding in the wheel wells but is that all you do just hammer it till it goes in a bit? What else does it involve.

Sorry for my rambling and sorry for all the questions. And thanks in advance for any help you guys give me!

Tires have different tread width specs for the same size 315 tire. I looked and can't find the Vredestein specs. Let me know how much they cost yea?

I was looking at Nitto 555s they are availiable and resonable priced.

nitto 315's are a little narrower than other 315 tires. but no you will not have to roll your fenders. ive had 315 victor racers, bfg's, summitomos and nittos on my lt1 z28 on a 11'' wheel out back and never rubbed or hit anything. few months ago i sold them to my buddy with a 01' trans am and he ran nitto 315's on them and absolutely had no issues rubbing or anything. what he did do though was he bought a adj. panhard bar and they fit more flush in the wheel well. but no i dont think u have to roll any fenders. many people have put a 315 out back and have no issues whatsoever.

I have them on my TA and I didn't have to roll the fender. The only issue I ran across is when I had the car on a lift the rears caught the bumpstops.

i have the 315 Vredesteins on my 17x11 ZR1s. I rolled my fender lip before i put them on just in case. But other then that there isnt any rubbing. I am also lowered. I actually think these arent that wide looking for 315s. If you want a really wide 315 get the goodyear F1 GS-D3, those suckers are WIDE. Other then that they are a very good tire. Excellent dry traction for a street tire, and really good wet traction. You wont be disappointed with these.

Great tire all around in my eyes. I think that they run a little on the skinny side though. My 295's don't fill out my 18x10.5 like other 295's. When the time comes I'm gonna put vredestein 315's on.
