I think some sort of update would be in order, like "the people that make these kinds of decisions think it would be a good idea" or "we're doing some more research to see if it would be profitable" or "we like it but haven't figured out where to stack all the extra money this would make for us"...something. I say the people who responded to this thread get a group rate

I had to reply..With me being another person VERY interested in these wheels. I feel the reason there has been no reply yet is the fact that they want to hold off for the fear of consumers not buying other wheels seeing there are SO many interested in these. They already said it would be by the end of the year or first of next year if these do get made. If they do, I hope they make 18x9/9.5 Front, 18x10.5/11 Rear with good size lips as of 1.5 F and 2.75-3 R.

I had almost forgotten about this, since they've done such a wonderful job of keeping us posted on the status. Today I actually imagined how these would look in a darker color, not black, but some kind of dull gray or gun-metal. 17x9 and 17x11 in a dark color would be bad *** on my black car...
I wonder why they never figured out that we would love this wheel in a deep dish? I also would like to know if the ricer rivets that started apearing on aftermarket wheels (like the Z06) did anything to hurt their sales, and thus cause them to loose interest in this design. Too bad they never just asked us. Most of us would have bought them a long time ago.

Over 300 hundred people pretty much voted yes on ls1tech alone. Think when these wheels are put on some cars how many people are going to see them. How many other camaro, firebird, AND corvette owners are going to be jumping all over these deep dish wheels. I wouldn't make sense to not make these. I bet these wheels will be on back order for a year if they come out. You guys won't be able to keep them in stock. So.... make them!

Unless they are ignoring or have forgotten about us then I'd say that they truly do not want to make these wheels. With an AutoCAD drawing of their existing Z06 wheel it wouldn't take but a few minutes to recreate it with a deepdish setting... especially since there are several other deep dish wheel designs that they've already done the structual R&D on, like the ZR1 and C5.
Maybe I'm showing my ignorance of the process involved in making a wheel, but I know that there are plenty of companies that design a wheel in ACAD and then have a machine or waterjet just mill it down.
If they wanted to make a prototype design then they'd only have a few minutes invested in paying a 3D ACAD tech to modify their design file and basically hit the "make it" button. Obviously there's a bit of R&D required to put the seal of approval on it to sell to the public, but it's not like they're having to pay someone to recreate every little curve and design detail of the Z06 wheel. They already make it.
I'd say this is just a lack of interest on their part, otherwise they would have come back by now and told us something. Maybe if we keep the interest up then someone else will cash in on this market. I'd think that would be hilarious, lol.

Sorry guys but we will not be doing this wheel.
there are to many other wheels (not just corvette style) that we are working on. As far as the corvette wheels go we will be doing the new zr1 wheel and the spyder wheel. I'm not sure on sizing yet.
I tried to get this wheel made for you guys, i though it would be a great wheel to have and thought it would sell well, but i dont make the big decision's.
Sorry again guys

Here we go again with OE wheels. Yes! People are interested!! make something different!! ZR1s are great, but it gets a little old when EVERY SINGLE F-body has them
