245/45/17 is the closest...better yet go with 275/40 if your running a 9" wide front wheel.
Easy way to figure it out yourself as long as the rim diameter is the same....the elimination method

315 x 0.35=110.25
275 x 0.40=110
255 x 0.40=102
255 x 0.45=114.75
245 x 0.45=110.25

Ok thanks for the help! the 245 will fit no problem on the 9.5 wheel? I would really like to keep the front skinny as possable without stretching the tire out. But from what i have found on this site either 245 or 255. Thanks again for all the help. This site is awesome.

245 or 255 on a 9in wheel is going to look stretched..should have went with a 6in or 7in wheel if you want the skinny look...

the wheel is a 9.5"? 265/40 or 275/40 would be best... see if u can trade the 9.5's for a set of 8 or 8.5's if u want a 245/45... if the back wheels r 11", a 315/35 on an 11 would be equivalent to a 275/40 on a 9.5, or a 245/45 on an 8.5... as an example, i have 235/50's on an 8" and the tire and wheel r just about even...

I have 245s on my 9.5" rim and they look stretched. Its not real bad but they would look better on a 9 or 8.5" wheel.
