Default Corvette Directional wheels??

i picked up a set of wheels and tires yesterday. they are the c6 corvette wheels. I was wondering about the directional mounting. the way the tires are mounted its got right sides on the driver's side, and left on the pass side. is this correct? i thought right and left was referenced from inside the vehicle, not outside staring at it. help!

Your tires should have arrows on the sidewalls. Just put them on with all arrows rolling forward towards the nose of the car.

Most wheels that fit our cars are not directional. Especially OE style wheels. It'll almost always be the tires that are directional. Unless you buy a aftermarket wheel with directional centers.

yea the tires are directional, got that right, but the wheels are directional, came off of a corvette, and stamped inside, right side and left side.

Hmm, I can honestly say I have never seen a GM OEM wheel stamped for which side it goes on. If you bought the ones with tire sensors it may have mattered just for those sensors but it will not matter on your f-body since we dont have that crap on our cars.

Just mount them with the tires in the correct direction & go man. And if the wheel/tire hasnt been broken down it should be a no brainer on which direction to mount them since the tires should already be mounted correctly. Plus the fronts should be 17's & rears 18's.

OK so maybe i posted my question wrong. the question is simply "IS left and right dictated by being inside or outside the car?"
The wheels i got, pic below, are stamped Left rear only, left front, right rear, right front. on the inside of each wheel.
so which is it??????

Those are backwards on your car in that picture. Those wheels visible should be on the passenger side I believe. Do a google search for the mid 80's Vettes and I believe that you will see how they are supposed to be set.

lol mike don't forget i'm from the 80's ;-) they actually give the wheels that nice fender even stance, instead of lookin like a ricer with wheels inside the body of the car. Wish they were deep dish wheels, then i'd be really happy

I mean to each their own, but damn man....those are ugly as sin. they should have never even made them for the vettes, LOL.

Trust me there are tons of better wheel choices even in stock vette wheels that fit our cars just fine.

Sawblades and stuff that were on the C4s were directional and side-specific. C5 and C6 wheels aren't. Most tires these days are though - look for the rotation arrow on the sidewall of the tire.
