Had 315/35/18s Nittos on the rear and they did ok...18" chrome wheels

I think the new Nitto TQs would be a good choice...They hook better than the Nittos and they are considerably cheaper

I had 315 BFG G-Force KD's on my blue TA, best street tire I ever had on any of the cars.

Hands down 325/45/17 M&H drag radials on some 17x9 speedlines. These tires hook harder than my MT 28x13.50 et streets did. I can flash the converter from a stop on the street and hook a 100 shot ~30 feet out on the street. They also look stock if people don't know what they are looking for....

^^ a 28" M&H is WAY overkill on a 400RWHP DD.

315/35/17 to Toyo DR's. In my opinion, they are the best compromise for hooking, and also being able to drive safely on slick roads. Plus, they are dirt cheap.

thanks for the info guys, i am looking for a tire that i can get like around 15k miles out of and will still hook ok on the street in a cammed or a h/c car. I live in San Diego so we see like 7 days of rain per year, never snow.

Our 00 has 396rwhp, and has Nitto 555s in 275/40-17s, and it does well. Its a 6 speed, but has the stock shitty clutch master so it doesn't get beat on too much.

Our 01 is around 40Xrwhp, 4000 stall, built 60e, and 3.73s. 8m running 555s in 315/35-17s and first gear is useless.. 2nd and up does pretty well though. They are some wide sumbitches! An inch wider than the nitto drs of the same size.

maybe if we ever line them up on the street...remember STREET not the track STREET. You will figure out real quick why there's a 28" tall tire on my full weight car and the car looks stock

LET ME KNOW HOW THEY HOOK ALSO.

Stock SS ZR1 wheels, Nitto 555's up front, and Mickey Thompsons ET streets out back 275 40 17's. Street tires are a joke on 400 rwhp if you like 1st and 2nd gear. It is so much fun now that I went to MT. Sticks wonderfully.

Nitto 555's here with the r's out back. Hook decent but also spin just enough to have some fun. Mine is not a dd but is a fair day driver...lol. You can tell I have played some with these tires....

im running 275/35/R20's on z rated triple A Raptors, and befor i added some well needed traction bars with various suspension upgrades and the detriot locker i couldnt hold it if i stomped it in 3rd, but now that i have the locker and suspension mods itll hold even in first from about a 15mph roll. but as soon as i drop in the LS6 heads and custom grind cam i doubt they'll hold very well....

will a 255/50-16 toyo proxes hook anywhere close to a a 315/35-17 on the street. I know sidewall will help from a stop but i dont know what the difference will be one you are moving.
