Default Cheapest effective wheel/tire combo.

Mods in sig + yank ss3600. I have stock 245mm tires on 16s. Looking for the cheapest wheel tire combo that will help me with traction on the street. I don't care too much about style, more about size and price. Would at least like to be able to wear 275's.

What about picking up some 17" trans am wheels, and putting some M/Ts DRs on em? The wheels are relatively cheap, and the M/Ts should help you hook up pretty damn well.

That sounds good. I live in Hawaii for now, so finding stockers might be a bit difficult, but I'll search around. Do oem corvette wheels fit without modification?

Also, are there any cheap versions of those race lights that you see at the drag strip? I wouldn't mind having a lighter, smaller wheel, with a fatter tire.

Vette wheels should with fit with no modifications.. as for a cheap drag look setup - u can look into Race Star's which have now been posted up. The company selling them on here has a deal right now - Jimsracingtire. As for what tire though, I also recommend MT ET Streets. I am on my 2nd set now.

+1. And you're not going to beat the traction without going a lot bigger.

I would think that used 17x11 ZR1's would be the cheapest way to get a lot of rubber on the back...

Shipping is bad for Hawaii. These wheels I'm shooting to get for $60 each.

As I've said, shipping to Oahu is rather expensive. :/
