Well ls1tech members im glad to say we had a great experience today at jims racing tires in balitmore md.they have the largest selection of Racestar on the shelf with killer prices and promotions.i told them we heard about them on ls1tech and he told us thats additional 20.00 off my bill.this a small father and two son operation that have alot of experience in racing.they been in business since 1967.

A full set of Racestars 15-3.75 and 15-10 7.5 back spacing was $699.99 then $20.00 of for mentioning ls1tech.while we was at the shop we notice they have a large in stock inventory of tires.so yes we picked a set of 275-60-15 mt drag radials for 192.00 each.we walk out paying $1,126.00 for a full set of Racestar,center caps,lug nuts,washers and a set off mt drag radials.$1,126.00 was a awesome deal.
Folks dont wait they are moving these wheels like hot cakes and will shipped them free.

I was up there a few weeks ago and picked up a set. Its the kind of place I wish there were more of- locally owned speed shop that is knowledgeable and takes care of their customers.

Those wheels are Greg Welds, not Racestars. The Racestars have material removed on the back side for more clearance. They also have a different cap. FYI

I'm ordering my new Race Star Wheels from Jim thursday an i hope to see them by tuesday next week. I called him monday an didn't call him back until today an at 82 years old he recited back all of my shipping information back to me in seconds along with my name if thats not great customer service i'll kiss your ***! When i get them bolted on the car next week i will post up before and after pictures. If you guys are looking to put a nice affordable race wheel then race star is the answer. I know that it use to say greg weld, but i can assure that they are way better since race star redesigned these guys from the previous greg weld design that had most of these guys grindind calipers & beating the **** out their fenders to get them to fit. When i spoke to the head guy at RaceStarIndustries saturday i asked him every question that you guys frequently ask about every other drag wheel an i can assure these should be the best fitting wheel for the price and he also reffered me to JimsRacingTires for the special they are promoting. I'm ordering mine before they are on back order!

 

I bought some friday at the Hot rod barn here in knoxville,TN fronts 15x3.75 130 a piece and rear 15x10 7.5bs for 160 a piece. got 2 tires for the front 60 a piece to.... so 580!! for front and back! said they had a crap load in stock!

 

wish they would hurry up with 17"
