he was talking about rolling resistance. imo, your car could use the extra rubber if you like the look and NEED the traction. on these cars, its welcome. on a civic, maybe its too much.

there is such thing as too much rubber, if we are talking about drag racing. if you can dead hook on a 245, then a 315 will slow you down. it creates rolling resistance. also, it is rotating mass. and unsprung weight. all bad. there's a reason people run skinnies up front.
really, it won't make a huge difference unless you're trying to squeeze every 100th out of it, but there is truth to it.

i've seen others with 295/35 all 4 corners on 18x10.5 C5 DD
&
also 275/35 front & 295/35 rear or 295/35 front & 315/35 rear
but from what ive read & researched u need BFH & PHB
