What is the widest tire I can fit on a stock 16" chrome camaro wheel on my 1998 Camaro z28. I just bought the car and it has 245's on the stock wheels those are just way to small. Also could I use a wider tire if I used spacers. I have looked on here for awhile and couldn't find much so any info would help. Thanks

the widest i would put on a stock 16" rim is a 255, spacers are not gonna let you get a bigger tire on the rim, stock rims are 16 x 8. you should start looking for different rims either some 17 x 9 for all the way around or 17x 9 front and 17 x 11 rears then you can fit a 275 up front and as wide as a 315 out back. but the widest i would even think of going on a 16 is 255.

Ok thanks, does anybody know if the Mickey Thompson ET street radial 26 X 10.50R16 will fit under a 1998 Camaro on the stock 1998 chrome wheels.

I believe so, I have 255 nitto 555Rs on my 16" stockers.

on the stock chrome rims is it possible to have the 255/50r16 or the 275/45r16 on a "prior" 98' RS Camaro instead of the stock 235/55r16?

You can also use 1" hub spacers in the rear to make the look a lot beefier!
