Anyone feel the need to roll fender lip w/ 15x8 275/60/15's?
I am wondering if anyone felt the need to roll the fender lips w/ a 15x8?
currently I am running a stock length Moser 9", 15x8 Prostars w/ 5.5" backspacing, ground calipers (no spacers) and BF Goodrich 275/60/15 street tires.
I have stock v8 springs, stock shocks, and no rear sway bar. I have a TRZ anti rol bar, but i ran out of time before winter storage to weld it on, so I have to take turn extremely slowly to prevent body roll. I have seen that the lips have scuffed the tires in the smallest possibly amount. Once the anti roll bar is added, this will eliminate that part. But what I guess I am asking is, when I launch and the car squats, should I have enough clearance w/ this wheel and tire combo? I swear that I read last year that this is an ok setup and I should have no rubbing problems, but I cannot find the info As a precaution last year, I did make some 1/4" spacers that I put in between the rear bump stops and their mounting surface to limit the travel a little further. What are your thoughts?
thanks for any help
