Default can I mix tires?

I need to get some new tires for the front end and I would like to use Kumhos. I have Goodyear F1 SuperCars on the car now (265/40ZR17 front and 295/35ZR18 rear) but will not be using them anymore (will be going wider for the rear).

I was going to use 265/40ZR17 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 on the front and then put something like the Michelin Pilot Sport 315/30ZR18 on the rear.

NO DRAG RACE.....I want the car to handle still but to gain a little more low gear traction. Can I do this?

sure why not, people put drag radials and then street tires on front all the time.
