Default OEM C6 rims on a TA?????

I know this has probaley been asked before. I have a set of c6 rims that I would like to put on my 01 TA. A local tire shop told me even with the 1.25 spacer in the rears that the 285/35/19 will rub unless I use the BFH mod. I have seen guys in my area run their 4th gen. like this n the said the just had to use the spacer. Is the tire shop wrong or did the other guys get lucky? I have also read in other theads that running a 18/19 can make my abs inop light go on. Why is that n how can i avoid it?? Any help is appreciated THANKS

Tire shop is wrong. On a TA, you can run the 1.25" or 1.5" adapters and you won't have any issues.

If the overall diameter of the front wheels is an 1" or more different than the rear wheels, it will set off your ABS light. The fix is to run tires that are within an inch of each other in their diameter...however, it looks very odd to run a 245/40/18 on the front with a 275 or 285/30/19 rear. I'd run a 255/35/18 on the front with your choice of the 275/30 or 285/30's on the rear.

What would I have to run in the front if I have a 285/35/19 in the rear to avoid the abs light comeing on? Thanks

Here's the tire size calculator I use when trying to figure sizes out:
