You'll get about an even split of people saying either or. Yes they're not the correct pattern so they shouldn't be used, but there have been a number of people that have ran it, with and without hub-centric rings, that have reported it's been fine. But there's also the threads opposite so just take it all for what it is.
Personally, I didn't want to go with corvette wheels or the like, and don't have the money for some CCWs or Fikses, so I went with the HP split 5's and hub-centric rings. They're being mounted and balanced as I type this, unfortunately my car's at home 250 miles away and I won't know this until this weekend how they fit.

your talking about a .6mm diff... they will fit just fine, and the hub rings are important, but not NECCEASARY, but i would get them... i have heard from my work that if you take the rims on and off a lot eventually you will break a stud here and there because your bending the studs ever so slightly... never seen it actually happen though... like those people you see riding around in their ghetto *** impalas with their baldes and ****, well the bolt pattern on those are 5x115 or 5X4.5 but those rims are usually 5X114.3 and they still bolt up.
