Default Finally finished my wheels

The wheels are Ronal LZ-VT 18x9 w/ 285 35-18 up front and 19x10 w/ 305 30-19 on the rear. I painted the centers charcoal to match my charcoal blackbird stripes. I was going to do them black but decided to try this and I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

What process did you use? What was the finish before, fully polished?

the outer barrel is chrome and the centers were painted. I disassembled the wheels and took the centers to have them sandblasted and powdercoated. The guy doing the powdercoating couldn't match my stripe very close; and to have a batch of custom color was about $300. I decided to just paint them since it was only about $80 in material plus my time. After sandblasting they got a coat of primer then alot of sanding to get them smooth. I used a single stage urethane paint and after about a week to cure I put them back together and on the car.

How many coats? And did you clear them?

Thanks.
