Default Tire Pressure for Nitto DR's

Just wanted to see what tire pressure people are using with their Nitto DR's at the track. I have played around with a few different pressure levels, but I'm still trying to find that sweet spot. I'm using 315/35-17's.

18lbs will make all your dreams come true..I cut a 1.42 60 ft. spraying out of the hole with MT DRs..Should work for those NTO5 Nitto DRs.

Thanks for the advice.

I went to the Track this last Friday and the best 60ft that I could cut was a 1.9. I had 18 PSI in the Nitto's. The track prep wasn't great either. It did rain about an hour before run time, so that might have had something to do with it also.

I've cut LOW 1.7's on 26 PSI.

The point is that there is a ball park that everyone can go by BUT its called Testing and Tuning for a reason. IF you can cut a good 60 foot but up the PSI, it helps on the back half of the track and you will gain MPH and lower ET's

A Drag radial is still a radial and too low of a PSI used to compensate for crappy driving or poor suspension/gear choice is not a subsitue.

The point is? What point was anyone trying make?

"Test and tune" includes brain storming ideas that has worked for others. And my car has a host of BMR suspension products so don't you worry about it.

Please don't act like you are the authority of "how it's done". This thread was intended to tap in to other peoples experiences and ideas about the issue.

I've had my best launch on 18psi (275/50/15) but it seems to be more an issue of burning the hell out of them than pressure
