Default Nitto 275/50 vs 60R15 For Daily Driving

I was going to get some BFG 325/50R15 DRs for daily driving but I am a little worried about geting caught in the rain (then again it hardly ever rains here) so I was looking at the Nitto DR 275/50R15 and the 275/60R15 for daily driving. I assume the 50 will be a little better on corners when compared to the 60 but at what traction expense? Anyone try out these two?

Thanks!

well, the 50's r about the same height as stock, 25.8", while the 60's r about 28" tall... y do u wanna go with a 15" over a 16 or 17? drag radials were not made for handling, or rain, so u hafta pick which u want... i would get BFG DR's, 255/50x16, and stay outta the rain, if u want straight line traction... the nittos last a little longer and work a bit better in the rain, but aren't as sticky, but neither will work in the rain too well since the tread depth is less, especially as they wear out...

I have the Nitto DR 315/35R17 in the back right now and they handle fine in dry and rain but since I am getting a lot more power soon, I need better traction. I have 15" bogarts I want to use. Maybe I'll stick with the BFG 325/50R15 and just avoid the rain like the plague....

the nitto's aren't very bad in the rain, but i would base the size tire i got on what i had done to the car and gearing etc. you won't want a 28" tire (275/60) on a stock car with stock gears but you don't want a 26" tire (275/50) on a heavy modded car with 4.10 gears. you aren't going to be pulling and indycar turns with either tire so don't worry about the handling.
