Can a "drag pack" be DD'd?
right now, cam only im at 400rwhp...on a 100 shot, im at 517rwhp. I have full suspension on my car down to a Spohn adjustable torque arm.
Currently, my wheel/tire setup is 18" Ruff Racing 280's. they are 8.5 up front (running a 245 tire) and 9.5's out back (running275 dunlop sp sport maxx)
I am tired of blowing the tires off N/A, and even worse on the bottle on the streets. I dont go to the track much at all...but when its nice out, I like to DD my car....and I take it on road trips to myrtle beach every year (910 miles one way) etc....basically, I am wondering what can I do, to switch my wheel setup and get good traction...I really like the Summit warrior R/t's but Im worried about front skinnys and DDing them? what can I do? I love the look of a drag pack on a clean lowered f-body (like mine) which is why im swinging this way.
Any suggestions other then putting a DR on my current wheels??
my only real concern is front skinnys. Is there any way I could run maybe like a 7" wide wheel up front, and 10" in the rear? or something along those lines? So its like I have a normal sized tire up front?
also, im not so sure if I would go with a rear drag radial or a big sidewall, wide street tire....cause like I said, I do DD the car on nice days and go on road trips...I dont want to be stuck in a severe rain storm hundreds of miles away on a drag radial...
