Default New torque thrust on the bird!

Well guys I needed new tires on my stock t/a. I was looking at just replacing the rubber on my 16s but an incredible deal came up I had to take! A man in town was parting out a 55 chevy hotrod and had these 17 in torque thrusts on it. The tires and rims all have been driven on less than 2000 miles. The fronts are 230 45 17. The rears are 255 45 17 and have prolly 75% tread left (he did a few burnouts). On top of that I got 2 brand new tires for the rear which are 275 40 17. All four rims, six tires for $850!!! I took a snapshot after I got them on and I am loving them! Car is dirty because we have been having a lot of rain. Lemme know what you all think of the new shoes!

Thanks! Im sort of confused about your opinion though. Whether or not you think they look good or are too wide. Personally I just like the wide stance! Looks mean as hell. Musclecar to me brings thoughts of big fat rear meaty tires and slightly smaller yet noticeably smaller fronts. I like the diameter the same though. The front is just in line with the fender and the rear wider.

They look good, but from the front view, they look weird...they stick out. Not that the tires are too wide, they just sick out too much.

Look perfect from the side!

The backspacing on the wheels is way too low. Definately not for our cars. Not a fan.

ok then lol the side view pic they look good in but the front view looks like they stick out way to much cause the backspacing is all wrong for the car it self i guess those were made for the '55 or whatever they came off of and wasnt made for the car there on now and you can get that muscle car look if you had TTII's with the right backspacing say 9's or 9.5's up front and 11's or better yet 10.5's in the rear

Yeah the rears stick out way too much for only a 275 they look like they are out farther than my 315s were but its all because of the backspacing.

You got a good deal on some nice looking rims they just dont match up right IMO.

Hey if you got a good deal who cares. If you like um than thats all the matters! I like um..it needs to be lowered and they do stick out from the quarters a bit but it looks tuff at the same time!

I would lower it but clearance issues with the roads prohibit me. At least the wells are filled up more now though. Those stock 16s are just no comparison in looks or beefiness.

Also, depending on howmuch you lowered it... You would have
issues with the fender hitting the tires since they stick out.
