Well I just ditched the heavy 20s and got 17x9.5 for my street truck and I put some temporary tires on it untill I sold the 20s and got too low of a profile (-/45/17) and it looks HORRIBLE! almost too embarassed to post new pics of it right now.....

So I wanted to know what you think would be a good street tire (dont need a drag radial as I dont have THAT much power yet) that is a smaller profile than a stock truck tire but a little bigger than average car street tire.

I was looking for 295/55/17 maybe? Dont really know what size profile a stock truck tire is. Tire profile is more what im concerned about. 305s in the rear would be awesome. I would like to be a good street tire though because I already have bad traction issues with the new but temporary tires on brand new pavement

My truck is a 03 single cab 4.8 with a 3/4 drop kit on it.

Was going for the drag racing/street performance truck (I love the racing look of the Ford Lightning with its tire size if anyone can look to see what would be good for one of those il get those for my truck) look since I do have a little* of mods in my truck

what size came stock on ur truck?? 245/70x17? thats a 30.5" tall tire... 17" is a tough size, shoulda went with 18's, more sizes available... a 285/60x17 would be about the same diameter, but still need to know what size came stock...

 

275/60/17 is all I could find.

Yea theres alot more for 18s but tire price is rediculous between 17s and 18s! 100 more per tire for the same thing. Yea thanks for the help, looks kinda like a stock tire profile size but Itl have to do for now

I got the 17s for when I retire the truck from daily driver to garage queen for drag radials and such
