ABS light ON from 28inch tall tires,WHY?

Default ABS light ON from 28inch tall tires,WHY?

i just put on my 15inch weld wheels on and the abslight COmes on.

i went from from americanTT'2 to 28x11.5x15 the front is 15x4.is it normal for the abs light to be on

Yes, its normal, put your TT's back on and it will go away........the computer doesn't like when it sees that the tires are spinning at a different rate......

its just way outside the norm of what your computer can compensate for. Thats a damn tall tire, but if you were to happen to go to emergency braking the computer can no longer properly engage abs

Could you get the ABS to work if you used LS1Edit to enter in your tire size?

Put on taller front tires and your abs will work again.

The ABS Computer has a table inside it which allows it to make the correct calculations to accurately apply the brakes as needed based on all 4 tires being 25.66". It of course has some variance allowed within that table, but youve changed the rears 2.36" and it does not have the ability to compensate. Your front tires now spin much faster than the rears so it is confused and will not operate properly
