Default 16" zr1

I can get a set of these fairly cheap. Are they a 16X8 like the rest of GM's wheels? I'm not sure if they are a factory set or reproductions, but the center cap is blank. What cars did these come on? The ones I'm looking at supposedly came off a 02 RS? Is there any weight savings with these versus the 17" versions? I know tire cost will be $100+ less for a set of four tires.

I do know its getting close to tire time, and I'm sick of my salad shooters.

Do you know the manufact.? I didn't think GM had a 16" ZR1 wheel. The 98-99 cars had 5 stars, the 00-02 had 10 spokes in 16". I have seen some repro. ZR1's in 16".

There never was a 96-97 WS6 vert. The SS vert did get the 16" ZR-1's.

Yep, they are OEM, tires are only a month old, I've forgotten what a tire with good tread looks like! Had to grind the rear axles a little of course. They aren't perfect, but no curb rash, just the paint bubbling a little on one, few small chips on another. Great upgrade from the salad shooters. I'll have pictures in a bit, but both the wheels and car are dirty.

This is how everyone picks up wheels, right? My truck is still down for the LT1 swap, so I made do with what I have......

Hopefully last shot ever of my car on salad shooters.
Might keep a pair around though for drag radials maybe.

The almost to the wear bar Goodyears that are coming off:

The month old Yokohamas:

Newest tires I've had in about 4 years!

I'll get car shots tomorrow, between running to Tampa to get these, grinding on the axles, dinner and company showing up it got dark quick.

Alright here they are! Mind you its been pouring almost every day for over a week now, my car is ridiculously filthy, and well you can see in the first pictures how dirty the wheels are. Took me a good 10 minutes yesterday to vacuum all the sand out of my car!

On the plus side they make the LS1 brake setup look huge.

Hey:

As Stated before they were a Dealer/ GMPP option on the F-1 Camaro kit and the early RS model cars. Two of the 3 other Hendricks SE RS's around here have them. I think they are quite a bit better looking than other 93-97 16" wheel options that came on the Camaro, and would probably be more popular, if new they weren't almost the same price as the 17" wheels.

Yeah when I saw the picture on Craigslist my first question to the guy was, what size tires are those? Because it looked damn funny to me.

So its a good thing I wasn't planning on any top speed runs with this thing any time soon, tires are rated to 118mph.
