Default what size slicks and wheels for 1000 hp

I have a turbo trans am that makes some good power but I want to get it hook at the track and I wanted to fit the absolute largest slick and wheel combo that I can to get the power to the ground... I have lt1 rear brakes, stock width rear end, I absolutely do not care if i have to roll fender lip or hammer the **** out of anything, the bump stops are gone... I don't really want to mini tub the car, atleast right now... I'm no expert on wheels and backspacing, I figured a 15 inch rear rim would prob be best for all out racing... any help is much appreciated

If you have a stock width rear then you need a 7.5 bs on a 10in rim. I would go for a 15in rim for more sidewall. I think a 28/10.5 tire will get you but you may need more.

A 15x10 wheel with 7.5" backspace is what you will need if you're using a stock-length rear axle. As far as tires, there's a lot of information needed to pick out a good tire that will best suit your setup. With that kind of power, I'm sure you're going to want at least a 28" tire. If you're an auto car with decent suspension, you might look into a 30" drag radial (315/60/15) If you're looking to stick with a bias ply tire (slick, et street) a 28x10.5-15 ET DRAG or 28x12.5-15 ET STREET would probably be best on that wheel.
