Default How do I Anodize wheels?

I'm about to need new tires for my T/A and I want to get some 17" WS6 wheels and Anodize them like the 30th anniversary wheels.

I think they would look sick on my NBM TA?

what y'all think?

EDIT: been told my wheels look like the 30th anni. in this picture, which is where I got the idea.

Haven't seen any sponsors on the forum here that offer anodizing. I can check my old Z forums and see if anyone offers the services.

There is a company here in DFW that we send parts to for anodizing. It's called anodics. If it were me I would look into a transparent powdercoat. It would probably hold up better, if you try to polish an anodized part you may remove the anodizing. Plus anodizing fades over time.

the 30th were not anodized, but a tinted clear coat.

go to eastwood and look at their anodizing kits. You can do it at home.

Transparent Blue Powder is the way to go, anodizing will not last in a high UV enviorment, plus is pretty susceptable to scratches and nicks, Powder is much sturdier and well suited to a wheel aplication IMHO. I have seen some polished wheels soen in a candy transparent powder and it really popped.

Correct and the Transparent blue Powder coat isnt anything like the blue tinted clear that came on the 30th anniversary TAs...I know cause Ive done it.
A company call TransWheel can do the blue tinted clear on your wheels. They redid mine for my 30th.

BTW...the blue tinted clear sucks taking care of. Always chipping off.

First pic is the Transparent blue powder coat and the 2nd pic is one of the wheels that Transwheel did with the blue tinted clear. Big Difference.
