98-02 Convertible - 10.5" fit with no mods?
I'm wondering if any of you are running 10.5" wide rims on the back of a convertible without mods. I'm thinking it won't fit. (Offset is +56mm)

Right now I have 18x9.5's, +56mm. If I understand correctly, if I switch to 18x10.5's, +56mm, the wheels will extend a half an inch further towards the inner wall?

dont run a 275, defeats the purpose and would be ugly as ****, im tellin u, ive seen it, it looks like the damn tire want s to come off the bead and its all narrow, like a pyramid, dont know how safe it is either. U would waste ur money gettin a wider wheel with stock size tires. Im runnin MT ET streets in 315/35/18 on mine out back, did alittle grinding of the bumpstops and some "massaging" of the fender wheel with a BFH!!! No prob, and i only have the hose mod.
On a side note: Cajun, what tires are those, im lookin to run a cheap *** street tire on mine now that im gettin bigs and littles for te track, are u runnin 17 or 18, they look like 18. Summitomos? How much they run? Im tired of payin 300 a tire when i blow them off after one track day. Want somethin cheaper than a radial, dont care if they roast easily.

i've got a 2000 vert with no (suspension) mods and my 10.5 didn't fit. I got the z06 c6 from OEwheels with a 295/35/18 tire. they rubbed on my car.
i got a 1/4" spacer but haven't had a chance to mount them with the spacer yet. i might have to grind the bumpstop back too....but we'll see.
a smaller tire might have worked, but on a 10.5" rim a 275 is way to small. (see above comments). a 285 might work, but i don't know how common a size that is. the 295 fits great on the rim and looks killer. i didn't realize how big they actually were!

with no suspension mods 295's fit fine with the spacer
don't bother with the bump stop unless you plan on doing jumps.......it only rubs when you jack the car up and let the suspension free hang

Ok, I finally had a chance to get under the car and see what was going on. The car is lowered with the SLP level 1 package. Right now I have a 9.5 inch rim, +56mm offset, 275/35 tires and they're already awfully close to the inner wall. The clearance between the tire and the part of the inner wall closest to the front of the car where it curves around is hardly anything right now. Is this is area people are banging in? Also, the bottom part of the tire is very close to the LCA's. I do not want to run a spacer. With the new rims at 10.5" and +56mm, they will extend inwards at least a half inch, depending on the tires. Thoughts?

Yep that is the area for some minor massaging with a BFH.
Like I said I ran 57 mm, w/o spacers, and 295/35R18 tires.
No issues with the LCA.
What I did was mounted the wheels and tires to the car. Gently drove the car around the block . . even up and down the driveway would be enough.
Jack up car, remove wheel & tire, saw where the tire rubbed the undercoat, and massaged the area.
Remount, and repeat until sound goes away.
I did center my axle with an adjustable panhard once the suspension lowered.
