How much money are you willing to spend per tire? I would vote for BFG KDW. I've tried a few different tires so far on this car and I like the KDW the best.

Traction is good. Not as good as drag radials from a stop, but they grab great from slow rolls and do decently from a stop. Handling/overall driving is terrific, IMO.

They usually go for around $180 each in 275/40/17 size (that's for the 17X9 wheels).

I have goodyear eagle F1 GS-D3's on my T/A 315/35/17 back 275/40/17 front and they are great, especially in wet weather.. Although when you first get them they arn't all that great for traction when they are cold, but after about 4 or 500 miles are on them, they stick like glue.. Great ride comfort and hardly any road noise.. Seem to be wearing nicely too..

The dunlop sport 5000 assymetrical tread 275 40 17 are 10 times better in the rain thanmy old goodyear gs d3. I got 4 mounted and balanced from tire america(sears) for 650.00. They also have a 9.9 inch tread width compared to the goodyears 8.9 inch.Hope this helps!

So far for me, ive only tried Khumo 712's and the Goodyear's that came with my SS. And the Khumos were all around better, they hooked real good, a lot better than the Goodyears.

the gs-d3's are the best rain tire on the market right now.(hydro plain resistance im talking about I don't know about the traction part, but still very good. plus they look sweet as hell to especially the 315's from the back view..
