Default Lets seem em! Narrowed rearends with Street/Strip setup

I would like to see some narrowed rears with street/strip setups. I found a few searching around, but would like to see some more. I also found some on SJM's website and so far like the Floyd's, D6, D10, and D12.

Also, thoughts and opinions are helpful.

Thanks,

Interesting, why 17x6s for the front?

Have any shots from the rear?

Looks killer!

Yeah,

First why 17s? Then why 6"?

It looks good, I just want to know the benefit of it all.

Reasons were Looks and I drive it, and tire choices was a lot of it. I didnt want something soo skinny I had to settle with the ugly M&H tire. I went with a 205/50/17 BFG KDW2 because they look bad *** and are a great tire.

Well, it looks good and it's a good idea. As you said, definitely a lot more tire choices, thats for sure.

This is why I'm not buying wheels until I get a new rear! I want to go either 18''s or 19''s with somthing WIDE in the rear. Nice pics up there!!!

223HAWK,

Couple questions...

Do you have a narrowed rear?

Are you lowered(looks like it?) If so how much?

What suspension are you running and how often you drive on the street?

Thanks

Narrowed 12 Bolt 2.5in each side, 5 total. The rear is factory springs with the hose mod, (took out the isolator) Front is QA1 Coil Overs.

Front and rear are drag shocks and I drive it as much as I can, If its not raining and Im not working, you bet I get it out. Drives great, not as bad as people made drag shocks to be. Its a lot of fun!

Bogart bolted GTs (street/strip series). 15X4 and 15X10 (5" backspace). Rear narrowed 3" per side. Heater hose mod, BFH, trimmed bump stops, cut factory springs 1 1/4 coil. M&H radials all around. 185/75 and 325/50.

223HAWK, I've always loved that setup. I was planning on doing something extremely similar with my Formula. I may eventually, but I don't have the money for a second set of wheels and tires.

What's wrong with the M&H tire? The tread patterns arnt too far off from the KDW II's.
