Default M/T or M&H radials

Im hung in the air right now between M/T ET street II or the M&H racemaster drag radial.

I am wanting a taller radial tire than stock to get some more sidewall, but I will still be puting them on my stock 17" wheels. I currently am running M/T et street 275/40/17 and they have done great, but with the power i am putting down now i need a little more traction. M/T offers a 295/45/17 tire in their et street II line up and it measures out to 27.2" tall and M&H offers a 275/50/17 that measures 28". I dont know of anyone running an m&h drag radial, so I'm curious how they have worked out for you all. My concern with the M/T tire is its a little wider than stock and Im not sure if it will rub or not, plus its not quite as tall as the M&H.

Any input will be apprieceated!

I have the 295/47r17 M/T on my stock wheels and it fits. Had to BFH a little, but not bad.

I would really like to not hammer on my car, reguardless where it is at. How bad did it rub?

It only rubbed in 1 or 2 small spots, but a rub is a rub right?

Post some pics and a review when you get them. I'd like to know how they are.

Will do, I think the m&h will fill out the fender opening nicely with an aggressive look that WORKS! ...... Hopefully.

Yes sir, full suspension. LCAs, coilovers, T/A, etc. I had 295 BFGKDW2s on before. They didnt work to well lol. It would break loose all the way through 4th from 4th gear rolling into the throttle. Now I have no spin hardly in 2nd. 1st does pretty well. Spins but it goes straight.

Only experience with M&H was on my truck (2wd ECSB, Blown LQ9, stock suspension, very traction limited) 275/55/16. They dead hook at the track, should work great on a car that can actually have weight transfer. 18-20psi

I had an M&H tire on my Camaro before and they sucked. My MTs worked a lot better. Also hammering to clearance them really isn't a big deal.

really like my M&H's

i went from 275/40/17 M/T's with about 490 rwhp to 275/50/17 M&H shortly before i did my turbo kit.

they both hook great, but think M&H takes the edge. very little traction issues with the turbo kit on the street.

the M/T's ride substantially better though, and last longer. ill probably get 3K outta these M&H's

I suppose the ride is better because of the larger sidewall.
