Default Zr1s on 3rd gen Camaro

My brother n law gots a 82 camaro w/Lt1 motor & tranny with stock rear axle, can the zr1 17x9, 17x11 fit on to the car without any modifcations??
Or has anybody done this??

Youll need to buy wheel adapters approximately 2inch all around.
You also have an alternative. You can swap rear ends, example throwing in a LS1 rear end with disk brakes and it bolts up like nothing, and you would only have to buy 2 2 inch wheel adapters for the fronts.
my buddy has an 87 iroc z. he went with 1 1/2 wheel in adapter and 2 out back. the front wheel rubs with the sway bar thats right there. If he goes 2 inch, the problem goes away.
he has 18x9.5 fronts and 19x10 out back.

All he will need is 2inch wheel adapters, bolt pattern 5x4.75.
have him search MC motorsports on ebay. My buddy got all 4 of them for $130 with shipping.

Search around on thirdgen.org you can get them shipped for around 90. saw someone sellin a set for like 60 a lil while ago
