Simplify your research, look at their catalog:
http://www.racestarindustries.com/catalog.html

I'm a dealer, but I haven't seen anyone 18x10.5s on the back of a 4th gen.

Thanks

i'm guessing no one runs 18's on the back due to performance issues or why exactly?
why do most people run 15's on the back?

15" anything = more sidewall = better for drag racing

My concern with the 18x10.5 @ 7.00 backspacing is that they might stick out.

I have a friend with a set of them, I'll see if I can ever grab one and try it one on a 4th gen (since they are for 5th gens).

thanks, would really appreciate it

so if you were to get them for daily driving and street racing using nitto 555

which size would be the best? are 18's any good or would 17's and lower be better?

Nitto 555Rs, will be the slowest wearing and least effective drag radial. I went a best of 1.83 on them. I probably could go 1.7's but the track would have to have been pretty good.

appreciate the responses man

ok bare with me as i don't want to make any mistakes.

if i want to get a set of 4 rims 15" back 17" front as advised on this thread.

which exact sizes to get? for both wheels and tires.

and what tires?

this is a daily driver.

for example

http://www.summitracing.com/search/p...rder=Ascending

there are about 10 sizes for the 15's alone

if someone would be kind enough to provide full specs of tires and wheels or post links , i'd appreciate it.

For a mostly street and occassional strip car, I'd do 17x7 fronts with a 225 size tire and then run 15x10's in the rear with anything from a 275 to 325 size tire. If it's a mostly stip car that you drive occassionally on the street, then go with a 17x4.5 front.

5 x 4.50 in. Bolt Circle, 6.25 in. Backspace http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rc...2dsd/overview/
5 x 4.50 in. Bolt Circle, 7.25 in. Backspace http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rc...4dsd/overview/

The 7.25 backspacing is correct. Let me see if I can find the boxes the wheels were shipped in.

More tire and better traction with the 15's. 17's would still be okay, but not as good for traction. I love the look of a 17/15 setup, but I'm partial.

Default pulled the trigger

I just pulled the trigger on a set of 15X10 & 15X3.75 in polished. I can't wait to see them on the car and how they perform at the track. I chickened out on the 325's though and went 295's. I will post pics upon installation.
