i have a vary similar set up. my rear has been narrowed 3 inches and i was running a 4.5bs on a set of 17x 11 BS street lits. i had to do a lot of cutting to the bump stop area and a little bit of BFH in the front corners to get my 315 mts to fit and i still ended up putting a 10mm spacer in. id like to get the taller toyo becaz its being used as my daily and the toyos should last a little longer and keep the rpms down on the highway but im really worried they are going to be alot wider. i do have a watts link so I'm not worried about any lateral motion of the rear but its just really tight back there.

Since you didn't give me an exact tire size I went off the closest tire I could get to 40R17 that was 315 wide.
According to Summit Racing, Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial in P315 /35-R17 has an overall width of 12.7".

Thank you

No sweat. Please post up when you do spray on them, I'm considering them for my car once the MT radials are worn out. I had the toyo drag radials in a 275/40/17 and they'd hook in 2nd with the 6 speed on the street when warmed up. The way mine makes power, it doesnt hit hard til about 60' out in 1st. But at the track I couldnt get the toyos to hook at all before

Quick question. Will these tires stick out? I'm currently running zr1 17x11 deep dish 50mm off set on the stock rear. My rearend is not narrow. I really like these tires. I know I need to do the BFH mod just worried it will stick out.

I love the rims but sorry i have to agree with some. They stick out way too much makes the car look wrong shorten your rear end and do it correctly. but if you like it enjoy it and have fun thats all that matters.
