Default Thinking of Going Wider

I bought some CCW wheels a few months ago. They are 18x10 F and 18x11 R. They came with Vredestein tires on them with the sizes of 275/35/18 F and 295/35/18 R. I don't like the way the tires are stretched to fit on the front and rear wheels. It seems to make the car ride rougher because of the angle of the side wall. Someone suggested getting new shocks but when I had my C6 Z06 DD wheels (18x8.5 w 255/40/18 R and 18x10.5 w/ 295/35/18 R) on the car it rode awesome. I have the eibach pro-kit with bilstein shocks. Any thoughts? Would new shocks work? To alleviate the problem I am thinking about getting new tires. How wide should I go and what do I need to get them to fit? Do I just need to roll the fender?

Saw your post when you got these a few months back...car looks great! I would definately consider a wider tire just from the stand point those look a little goofy...sorry. Might kill two birds, you know?

Hard to claim shocks at fault when they are the common denominator between the two. Never heard of the tire manufacturer either...is it possible they are little narrow dimensionally than most competitors?

thanks for the compliments and yes i think a wider tire is in order. hopefully that would solve the ride issue. I had never heard of them either until i bought these but I have seen them a few times on this site since then. it's definitely possible. The tires were bought as a package through CCW.

Will be plenty. Going with 315s on my 18s out back. Depending on offset should provide enough info in having to roll fenders or beat on wheel wells.

Vredestein tires are strictly a low budget tire.

Put a set of BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW NT 295/35/18s on it, they run wide for there size, and you can get them for $221 per tire(shipped) from DTD.
FYI, a 315/30/18 will run you at least $300 per tire.

That's what I would do is get wider tires cause some like the stretched look and some don't. Personally I don't cause these ain't Hondas where we got the "hella-flush" look goin on where we gotta slam the car and get smaller tires just to fit up and under the freakin fenders. Just my opinion though.

I run 345s on my 18x11 CCWs if that tells you anything. Those tires you have look horrible stretched on there. No offense, dead sexy car though.

I'm not too worried about the price. i put a couple thousand miles on the car and am not too worried about burning through tires. someone suggested running 285s or 295s in the front and running 305s or 315s in the rear. I live in the same town as the tirerack headquarters so that's where i'd probably go.

i'm not liking the stretched look either and i'm hoping wider tires will improve the ride quality.
