BFH Pics
Anyone have pics of your BFH mod to the rear wheel wells? What can be ground off, cut out, and beat in without having structural effects on the car?
I was thinking of cutting out the "bulge" and welding in some sort of brace rather than beating it all to ****, but post some pics I would like to see what others have done before I get carried away.
BTW I have 17x11s coming soon and hopefully I want to stuff some 335/35s in place of my tiny little 275/40s. I also planning on rolling my fenders, maybe a mini tub, but I haven't seen any that fit really well IMO so I don't know if I want to take it that far quite yet.

Excactly what SuperSick said. Its not at all hard really. Best thing to do is get the wheels and try to put them on, wherever it hits either grind enough to fit without any issues or know the hell out of it.

Heres a pic of what you somewhat have to do depending on tire size, I am running a 325, so I needed quite a bit of BFH, I also had to grind/hammer the two ridges by the bumpstop/coil spring perch. They are like double layer sheet metal and can not just be easily beat in with a hammer, if fact I am still working it but as now I have very very minipal rub going around corners at speed when the rear end shifts, at the sidewall.

^^Thanks for the pic. I'm going to order some ground control bumpstops that install on the shocks since I'm pretty sure that my bumpstops will have to get removed.
I should have my wheels before the new year but I have alot of parts to order before I get there. Just looking for some answers before I get into it. I still think that I'm going to remove the bulge and weld in a flat piece like in this pic

We did it to my roomates car, cut off the bump stops and beat the **** out of it. even put it on the lift and sledged it a bit. got 335/35/17 on her. as long as your a smooth driver then they don't rub at all, but no fat bitches and no bitches in the back or it will rub on bumps and corners.

Holy **** that fenderwell is modded.
Next time I get a few hours, I am gonna finish working on the humps, it only barely rubs now, but I am gonna make a horizontal cut right through the two protruding ridges, and then pound them flat, maybe then weld the center of the cut and grind flat, I don't want to take the whole section out like that, thats pretty serious metalwork going on there.

Post up some pics when you decide to massage your wheel wells a little more

Yea I had to beat mine half to death to get the 325/50-15s in there too...but one thing about cuttin out tha inner fenders as the person in that pic did is you loose a good amount of weight with that much metal gone...

You dang sure don't want to see pics of mine, its beat all to hell!
I have 345/35/18 Mickey's and had to beat the ever loving hell out of my inner fenders. I cut off the bump stops, the lip on the bottom. I've taken the 5lb sledge to it on a couple different occasions to get rid of all the rubbing. I originally rolled the inner fender lips, but have since pulled them down and took the cut offf wheel to them to gain some added clearance. I still have a small bit of rub over big bumps, but I'm pretty sure that'll be gone once I get the new shocks on. Also after I put the Sphon rear drag bar on, all the rubbing in corners is gone. Best of luck.

Lol I could see why u would have to with those...but whatever works...had to cut my bump stops and fender lips once the big motor gets ready to go in I will prolly run alot bigger tire under it and put Wolfe tubs under it
