tirerack.com ordering Has anyone here ordered from tirerack.com? I would like to know your experience. I would also like to know how the ship to installer works exactly.
I have been purchasing tires from Americas Tire for 10 years, but tirerack.com has more options and way better prices. I like Americas Tire because of there free lifetime balancing/rotation with their mounting deal. They also repair flat tires for free. I could just get the tires and take them to Americas Tire and have them mounted.
The only problem is that if the tires wear out fast I won't get prorated for a new one since it wasn't purchased there.

I order from tire rack and pick them up at our local warehouse, then carry them around the corner to the tire shop and have them mounted and balanced. This last time I had them shipped UPS bc I didnt feel like picking them up. Extra $20 but oh well, took them a few days later and had them mounted and balanced while I was out running errands. I dont typically fool with road hazard and pro-rated warranties. If I puncture a tire its usually on the back-end of its life so I just replace it with a new one 
The tire rack tires do come with the manufacturers warranty, whatever that means.

Their prices cant be beat and they ship really quick. I just take them to a local tire place to have them installed and its a done deal. I wouldnt get tires any other way these days unless I run across a deal on ebay.

Tire warranty is crap IMO. In my life and times I spent at a tire shop, I have never seen a customer go home happy knowing that their bad tire for whatever reason is covered under any type of protection.

I would NEVER consider buying elsewhere unless they dont have the exact tire I need in its size (sometimes that happens with the KDWII's so I go elsewhere but i HATE it when I order somewhere else)

Thanks to all for replying. I ended up getting Nitto 555's through discount tire direct. They were a couple more bucks per tire, but free shipping, which wound up cheaper than tirerack anyways.
I have purchased from them before, a set of BFGoodrich A/T's, and went to Americas Tire to get them mounted. It's basically the same company. Now I just need 2 speedline wheels from a WS6.

Don't forget to check local tire shops. I shop Tire Rack and Discount Tire, but I've also found in some cases going to the local Firestone I can get the same tires for nearly the same price. Sometimes even a bit cheaper. Look for a dealer selling what you're looking for and see. You may be surprised.
