if you're gonna add weight to plant power to the ground...the tires are a forgiveable offense

If everything goes as planned, the car will be tubbed and done in a week and a half. I went ahead and ordered my coil overs a few hours ago since I know I'll definitely need them now. The guy that's working on my car builds tubed chassis and caged full blown race cars, so I know my car will be done right when it's finished.

A body shop attempted to fit the wheels yesterday. They cut, pounded, grinded and hacked away on my wheel wells, but there just isn't enough clearance since my car is lowered and I have no desire to raise it. The rear wheels did look freakin' amazing on there when they put the car back down on the ground for testing though. No, I didn't take any pictures since it's not completely done.

BTW... the biggest holdup all these months was with the shop that I had my car at for the engine work and PCM tuning. That's a WHOLE different fucked up story that I'm not gonna get into though.

Mother ******.

but!!! I would have had an extra 600 in a 600 set of rims. although I loved mine for the price I had invested they would have been shitty quality 1200 rims. few hundred more and I could grab some classics. I contemplated it many of times but never brought myself to doing it.

will look amazing however!!

If i can't get mine to fit I'll buy a mini-tub set and install them myself (with help from a friend).

The only way you're gonna get 'em to fit comfortably without tubbing is to raise the car and maybe use a spacer. Your ride height is the same as mine. I'm definitely NOT raising the height on my car.

I sent two of my Firehawk wheels to be widened. They called me, can't remember the name of the guy. He called me left a message and called back again. He said my wheels had too much run out and risked the chance of them not being able to balance out. He said they would do them if I wanted. I asked the guy if they were his wheels would he do it and he said no. I asked him to ship them back to me.

I'm going to trust a guys opinion who does this for a living. I'm still looking for another two wheels to be widened.

Do you have any underside shots of the car, and some from the back seat area after the tubs were welded in?

Damn those look good. Post up more pics of the mini tubs if you don't mind, I'm planning on getting the Wolfe tubs to run some 335/30/17 XS tires in the future, or similar sized 18s

Are you going to keep the rear seat?
