Default 10 spoke SS wheels machined under paint?

I have some 10 spoke SS wheels that are the stock silver color. I want to ditch the silver and polish them. I heard the 10 spokes are machined under the paint. Does anyone have any pics?

Also, whats the best way to stripper thew? Spomeone told me airplane stripper from wally world.

Just looking for tips before I destroy my wheels

yes there is a machine finish underneath the paint. 1 warning its going to be a PITA stripping them, the finish/ paint that is on there is extremely tough to get off. heres a pic of when i tried doing it, they were painted black with a spray can right over the factory finish. all i really wanted was the black paint off, but i stripped too much off in a couple spots and ended up having to do the whole thing. i eventually had enough and had them bead blaster, the second and third pic is them after the bead blasting; just straight aluminum no clear or paint over them

What did you use to strip them?

aircraft stripper, do you just want to strip the face of the spokes or the entire wheel?

I would probably do the entire wheel. Looks like a messy pain. THink I should just take them to get bead blasted then polish them myself?

Just the outside surface is machined the rest is sand cast, it would take a huge amount of work to sand them down enough to polish I just ended up powder coating mine
