Default Pics please! 17/18" combo

Hi guys,
I tried searching with no luck...I'm looking for pics of F-body's with 275/40/17 front tires and 315/30/18 rear tires. The front tires have sidewall that is more than 5/8" taller than the rear tire. I want to make sure I like the look before I buy them. Please state if your car is lowered or not and if so, what brand of springs you have.

Thanks!

No dice here. I have a set of 315/30/18 sitting in the basement, but I have 295/35/18s on the car now.

Thanks man. Car looks great! A lot lower than I dare to go.

Did you use a spacer in the rear?

Anyone else?

1/4 spacer, BFH to the inner fender well, Gring bump stop mounts, shaved outer fender (or roll if you perfer...I didnt want to risk cracking the paint), and use of extended shank lugs for the rears. im not sure, but if you dont lower the car you probably dont have to BFH the inner fender well and use the spacer. PM me if you need more info.

Just my opinion and nothing against another local, but the 17/18 combo on any f-body does not look right. I have a freing with a very nice C5 and drove by a C6 today, and even then, IMO it looked off having the small/big wheels (even on a vette). Maybe it's just me! I'de say at least keep the diameter the same for visual and make your width determination, along with tire width, depend on what your needs and goals are. That of course goes along with what the goals of our car are; be it DD, DD/AX, DD/Drag, or just all out race car in whatever class you choose. Though, if your car is all out race, you will more than likely have rims that fit your need without compromise without too much regards to looks. HAGD and a great St. Patricks Day!

I agree but most of us bought oewheels before they came out with 18/18 combo. So we didnt have much of a choice. Ive had 18" rims all around before and loved it. I sold them due to financial issues at the time. I have heard that most "sports cars" have staggered sizes for handling purposes. I hated the 17/18 at first, but grew to like it. Ive had many many many compliments for the stance of the car/ staggered rims.

slightly smaller size than your looking for, but... 245/45/17 and 275/35/18's... lowered on BMR, the c5 wagon wheels...

first pic is without alignment, second is after

3rd is with 285/30/18's which are the same size overall diameter as the front and look like ***... but got a deal while i debate new rims...
