help with rims and tires ok i am planning on buying some c5 rims from oewheels they are fronts 18x9.5 and rear is 18 x 10.5 i have read all posts about offsets and wheel sizes and am a little confused the rear rims have an offset of 56 mm and i would like to run 305 35 18 nitto dot street legal drag radials my car is a 02 ss camaro not lowered ..i do plan on lowering maybe an inch if i do will these bolt right on ???am i gonna need a big hammer or anything else please let me know i did try to search offsets but waaay too many numbers being thrown around

My car has the factory bilsteins so its pretty low. For me to fit 305/35/18 Mickeys all I had to do is hammer on the inner fender just a LITTLE bit. Not too serious at all. Make sure the car is sitting on the ground when you are trying to figure out where to hammer or it will look like it wont clear the bumpstops.

You're dealing with a vette offset there...I'd put money on some hammering for a 305. 45mm OS is closer to optimal for the rear...a 1/4 or 3/8" spacer and you might clear on the inside without the BFH. Of coarse then you have to worry about the fender lip on the outside... I have 44 OS on one car and 45mm on the other and run a 295 tire lowered and did not have to BFH or roll the fender, and I am pretty sure there is plenty of room to run a 305. Good luck.
