Question tube in drag slick tire helps?

i've heard that tubes going into drag slick tires help to make car more balanced or stable, anybody knows something about this?

Most definately will make the car feel more stable on the big end because it takes the sidewall flex out (or at least cuts the sidewall flex down considerably.) It will also hurt your 60 ft times because the increase in rotating weight.
