I usually schedule a pickup and ship it out freight that way you can create your own shipment and put in your own numbers. you couldve shipped it freight for like 100 dollars.

I found that Fed Ex is cheaper than UPS or USPS for larger items. You can go to fedex.com to get a price quote.

Hey your out here in the dirt so obviously you arent in a rush to get them. I sent a pair of Sparcos through greyhound for like 78 bucks. It took a week or so to get where they were going but you can insure it just like anything else. If he still gets ridiculous quotes try them...
