The owner had those widened by a company that supposidly did alot of widening on the on the outside of the wheel. He smoothed them himself and had them powdercoated. Sick wheels but he never posted on any car pictures.

I ran across these in another thread. In the texas section... Rears widened to 17x11 with a deep lip and then smoothed and powercoated. Not sure what it would take to run the wheel as i dont think they ever made it on a car. The op of that thread is MIA..
And if anyone knows of a vendor that is willing to widen the wheel this way let me know.
who the **** did this im really interested

Ok, I'm not gonna lie... I was kinda calling on that first picture you posted because of it looking so flawless. I would not have been totally convinced of those wheels being actually widened from the front had I not seen the process pics. Thanks for posting that!

He said in the thread that it was 400 for the set. But then did the finish and powdercoating himself. I still would like to find a vendor to widen my wheels like that. In my opinion these are much better than TT2's, Vette DD, and all those. I like the stock, but not stock look. Not quite as nice as the high end forged wheels but my pockets arent nearly deep enough for those.

I would love to do that myself but I it would never work so flawlessly with the factory polished finish. Worked good for him because he PCed the wheels black.

Remember, you get the lip extended out on the face of the wheel it better be a good job or I wouldnt trust it & your wheels are gonna really stick out of the fenders without a narrowed rear end. Backspacing wouldnt be the issue at that point, its gonna be the opposite problem. Could look really damn good with a rear narrowed about 2-3" total.

I'm pretty sure you add a inch to the backside your gonna need a spacer which will still push the wheel out. Granted it wouldnt be as bad as 2" added to the front but it would still stick outside the fender.

Lol this is why we need an aftermarket company to make these wheels for us!

Oh you could always get a set made, LOL. There are companies that will make you one off wheels, but your gonna have to pony up the coin for it.

Basically if you lookin for a affordable wheel look for reproduced wheels like from OE or something from somewhre like a Wheels Next type place that sell wheels in the BMW offset which is close enough to run on our cars without issues. For example the Ruff wheels.
