Default Deep dish WS6 wheels

I came across a couple threads on these wheels, but they are kind of old. Question is, how come no one makes a 17/18 x 10/10.5/11 inch WS6 wheel with a lip like the deep dish zr1 wheels that OEwheels makes? Im sure someone can make these, would anyone be interested in these if I could find a company to make enough for it to be cost effective? I just like the stock look wheels Ive never been a fan of aftermarket wheels, but I want something wider than 9.5 without having to widen factory ws6 wheels.

Yeah thats a pretty steep price. I like the deep dish zr1's they're as close to stock as you can get while having a wider wheel.

i would settle for a good company making reproduction ws6 wheels at the factory size even. there is only 1 company that does and they have a **** poor bbb rating

Dooood... are you kidding? Quit being cheap, man-up and get your wheels widened! $500 is NOT all that expensive for something that you like and will look good.

Carlos do you wanna pay for it for me? Didn't think so. Point is to have wide wheels without having to spend 1000 for wheels. I'm in school and theres a hundred other things I would drop a grand on before I dropped it on a set of wheels WITHOUT tires even.

I'm not trying to be a smart-***, but why did you make this thread if you don't have money to spend?

X2, bitching that they don't make something with no intentions of buying it if they did. Besides that, tires for wide wheels are going to run close to $1000 on their own(for 4 pieces of rubber), so I don't see how one could bitch about $1000 for a set of wheels.

Either way, I don't think they would sell all that good if they did make them. A lot of people like buying wheels to have something different than the stockers.

I have money to spend, not 1000 to spend on just the wheels alone... Tires do not cost that much I can get 2 nt555r and 2 proxes for the front all for under 600 through my work.

Well you really only need the rears widened then, right?

Ya it should be around $500+ shipping to get some rears widened. I personally would love 18" chrome WS6 wheels to run CTS-V brakes with. Itll never happen though..

Yes, just the rears. I would prefer to just buy new wheels that are 10.5-11 wide ws6 or ws6 deep dish though similar to the OEwheel zr1's. As compared to having to buy a set of used ws6 for 400-500 then another 500 to have them widened.

Ya I mean it depends what look your going for. I mean I like the 98-01 WS6 wheels that I have on my car but I would never buy ZR1s. Thats a downgrade IMO.

Even if you get the stock rims widened they're not going to be deep dish. Any widening is going to be done to the inner part of the wheel. They would still look good but I can't see a way to get a deeper dish on them.

Yeah that's why I wish someone made a ws6 similar to the zr1 deep dish.

Deep dish WS6 wheels-dsc03290.jpg
I ran across these in another thread. In the texas section... Rears widened to 17x11 with a deep lip and then smoothed and powercoated. Not sure what it would take to run the wheel as i dont think they ever made it on a car. The op of that thread is MIA..
And if anyone knows of a vendor that is willing to widen the wheel this way let me know.

Going to go ahead and take a guess that those cost a lot more than $250 a wheel to get done. Whoever made them did a great job though.
