I probably have about 1/2 the tread left and that's with 2 years of use, some burnouts and some track passes.
About how many miles do you have on the TQ'S ?

I have almost 7k miles on my tq's right now. Like I said before, they just got into the wear bars and have 60-70 track passes on them. This turbo setup really inialated them though. I could see people getting the claimed 10k+ miles out of them if they only drove them in warm weather.

Realistically if they are at the track alot, then I'd say 5k-8k miles.....more towards the 8k+ side if you run them to the wear bars. If they are mostly street driven and occasionally at the track then I'd say 10k+. I think I read a few people got about 15k out of them, but I think that's probably rare and we'll past the safe limit lol

That was pretty much my experience as well. When I sold the Mustang I probably had around 8000 miles on those tq's and they had a lot of life left. I only went to the track twice with them though

Probably around 5k. I've only taken them to the track once and made 5 passes on them.

Plus it's a wide tire which is always a plus

Thanks HCI... how well did those TQ perform on highway pulls?..lol

And did you have any issues with them in the rain?

My Mustang was 400 rwhp on a 100 shot and from 2nd gear on it stuck totally fine. In the rain it did just as well as the 555r which was pretty good for a drag radial IMO

HCI2000SS I saw in a thread while researching that you run the LNC 2000. I will be using it to pull timing but I also thought it was capable of window switch, am I wrong?
Also in general how is the install if just using the timing retard feature?

I'm just using it for retarding the timing on the nitrous. It's not that hard of a install. Just have to be patient and follow the instructions to the letter. There's no window switch function though.

Ok, what window switch are you running? And say I did not want to spray first gear at all, could it be set to activate in second on do you know or should I go window switch with push button on my shifter to activate when I want? Sorry lol don't know how much you are into nitrous, just looking for ideas
Thanks

No problem man. There's no 1st gear lockout or anything like that. What I do is simply hit the arming switch (in my ashtray) once I'm in 2nd gear. I never spray in 1st because it would be pointless due to no traction. As far as a window switch I have a digital MSD one bit it's broke so I'm currently not using one

So are you just using a WOT switch? what happens if you were to miss a gear while spraying? Just asking, I dont know much about Nitrous. I'd love to put a 100-150 shot on my car but have always been unsure of whats really needed to spray it safely being a 6 speed.

Yep just a WOT switch only. To be honest I'm not super worried since it's a totally forged motor and it's only a 125 shot. If this were a stock internal LS1 I would've probably purchased another widow switch by now

Keep in mind, in cold weather no drag radial is going to hook. Once it warms up you'll have more luck and also play around with tire pressure to see what works best.

Yep I'm totally aware of that. Try a totally bald dr on a 35 degree day lol. My bald BFG'S spin all of 2nd on a really cold day, and that just running n/a
