I had NT05R and TQ tires but in 18" and can tell you that TQs were softer and better in rain... Can't compare which one hooked better bc NT05R had about 7k miles when i got them vs TQ were brand new.

TQs are 315/35/18 & NT05Rs were 315/40/18... Can't really compare which one was wider, bc they were mounted on different set of wheels, but Nitto 315/40 per math had to be wider imo... Also NT05Rs were still kind of "hooking" at +65mph/+70F/@800whp, lol

Everything I looked up they were as far as drag radials unless they've changed it. I know that's what ateers some people away from them (I think more looks than performance), but I wouldn't worry about it as long as they worked.

Just by the eye test the nt05r's didn't look any narrower than my Et's. I thought they both looked like a serious radial. The 555r on the other hand...... just looked anemic!

Edit: I mean in all reality, the measurements are about a quarter inch......I don't see how it could look smaller to me, but I've never owned any so idk.

Actually there was a thread on here a while back with a pic comparing the NTO5R, MT ET street 2 and 555R. All were 315/35/17. The NTO5R was just a hair wider than the MT, and obviously both were much wider than the 555R.
Gregster, are you saying the NT05R actually hooked a little better than the TQ from a 65 mph roll even though they had like 7k on them compared to the TQ'S being new?

HCI2000SS solenoid question..... Say I have my nitrous armed, what is a safe time period I can go before I do damage to a solenoid without spraying or purging the lines? Hopefully I put that so you can understand what I'm asking.....

Pretty much being locked and loaded but not actually spraying, thought it was bad for the solenoids to hold the pressure back for x period of time.

Gotcha. Others may not agree but I do it all the time and have never had an issue over the 10 years of using nitrous. In fact I'll leave the bottle open for most of the day sometimes, just in case I feel like using it, and have never had a single issue

If I had it armed and ready to go, I'd be in it just to be in it once in a while. I'll be driving normal, have to give it just a little gas and hear the turbo starting to spool a little........then I either get into boost a little or go find a place to let it eat.
