19 Inch Tire Question

19 Inch Tire Question I just called a tire place to purchase a set of 19" tires for my new wheels. The guy told me that there was NO tire in 275/30/19 with the proper load rating for my car. I have heard of SEVERAL other people running this size tire with no ill effects. Any input?
I think that guy is full of crap. I checked Discount Tire Direct and they have 5 different tire choices listed for that size. I cant get the link to work, so just go there and search by size.

And so do the Kumho's, and Michelins. (I've had both!) Tell that guy he's full of ****, and then show him some pictures of our cars that have 19's.

It's not the issue the tire doesn't exist, it's the issue that the tire "technically" doesn't meet Car Manufacturer's requirements on the load rating.
For a Kuhmo, (for example) The issue is the "Load Rating". The salesman is majorly covering his *** (doing his job). The 19" tire has nearly 270 lbs less rating than say an OEM 17. This information is available at the Tire Rack.
- Tire Size -------> Load Rating
- 275/40WR17 ----> 1653lbs
- 275/30ZR19 ----> 1389lbs
