Soon to have fikse fm10s
Hey all,
I am about to buy some fikse fm10s. I've been looking around here for the best street tire. I did a search and couldn't come with crap so I'm going to ask.
What do you all recommend for tires in the front and the back (if different). I want to keep below $200 for each tire and keep them decent street tires. I don't need anything really hard because the powertrain is stock and is going to stay like that for a while until I decide what I want to do with the powertrain. Sizes are 315/35R17 for the back and 275/40R17 in the front. I looked the bfg kdw2 and those don't have the right sizes. I also looked at the michelin sports and it doesn't seem like they do either. So please help me?
Thanks

Thank you all for your help. I'm just going to use the car a little bit on the weekends. Nothing too much as I'm keeping it at my siblings house 30 miles away, and I'm midway through school becoming an engineer. So the car is a garage queen. Would you all recommend with going with nitto dr's all around? Or just the reg. 555 or something like that?

I'll sell you 2 brand new 315/35/17 goodyear gsd3s for $630 firm. I know its more then you're wanting to spend, but the tire is bad ***. You won't find the same tire for cheaper, and they're often on backorder.

This is a great thread! A great tire tha will fit in your budget is the Nitto NT05. Check them out. A set of four in 275/40 and 315/35 would run you $770. That fits in your $200 per tire requirement.

I will never buy another nitto tire given my experience. I got a brand new set of Goodyear gsd3's in 275 for the front and 295 for the rear. Got 4 17x9.5 fm5's right now, need to get 2 18x10.5 for the rear.

Nittos are great except the summer NT05 tires. They are ******* poo. Worst mistake I have made. I am constantly fish tailing and can't get any traction. The NT01 275 were a better tire than the NT05 summer 315.

The NT05s I have less experience with. I had a set on a 466 RWHP 10 second notchback Stang, so I couldn't get a very good feel for how they'd hold up on a "normal" car.
As for those 18 X 10.5"s you need, give me a shout
