Default 2011 LT Wheels (18x7.5)

I'm sure this has already been talked about, but I havent been able to find the thread. I have set of 18x7.5 wheels from a 2011 LT and would like to know if these can be used on a 98' Z28. Pretty sure the factory tires 245/55/18 will have to be changed out to a lower profile tire, but want to make sure the rims will work before investing in the tires.

Wheel
18x7.5
5x120
38MM

Thanks

Thanks SilvaZ, that's what I was thinking as well. Anyone out there have this set up or can point me to a forum with some good information? I need to make a decision soon on which direction to take with replacing my tires. Thanks

You say you have the wheels. Why not put them on your car and answer your own question? You don't need tires to mount the wheels for testing purposes.

Because I would much rather hear from someone who already has this setup and would know of any issues like rubs, vibrations, etc. from the difference in lug measurements and offset.... Why even respond to a request for assistance if you are not offering any?

Why would you get wheels that you aren't sure will fit? I highly doubt anyone here will have an experienced answer to your question since the wheels you're inquiring about aren't very appealing. Someone here has bolted on the 20 inch Camaro wheels onto their 4th gen.

Ahhh... I see your point! Perhaps when they were offered to me I should have said "No thanks, I don't want a free set of wheels"...

Glad to see that you have the answer for everyone here on the LS1 forums. Not exactly sure when 5 star wheels lost their appeal, but perhaps being the presumptuous douche bag that you are, you chose to make that statement regardless of knowing which variation of the wheel I have.

Ok. But what does this have to do with my question about the 18" wheels and specific measurements that were posted? Not trying to be a dick, but it's complete BS when someone asks a legitimate question and some **** swallow decides to reply with snide comments or useless information.

I found the answer I was looking for so no need to reply back.

Center hubs will need to be bored a few MM (my friend already tried to fit a 5th gen wheel on his 4th gen). 5th gens have a smaller hub. off set seems right. as stated above 245/40/18 tire should work.

I might be wrong but aren't the 18 inch wheels black steel wheels with a chrome beauty ring?

Free or not, those wheels still suck. I wouldn't want them taking space up in my garage.

You're thinking of the heritage wheels. Here is a shot of the wheels I have.

at your wheel comment and your "occupation". As far as me being lazy, your mom said she would have to disagree and that she loves my tool just fine!

lol, everyone in this thread needs to hug.

On a side note... Tech sure has changed a lot over the last few years... Used to be full of knowledgeable and caring people. Now its full of degradation and hate. What gives? Who cares what rims ol' boy puts on his car? Why can't he ask if something will fit? OP, take a chill pill.

I forgot, the internet is serious business....
