Question Firebird vs. Camaro offset difference

Hey guys, just wondering if there is any slight difference in the wheel offset between 98-02 Camaros and Firebirds due to differences in the shape of the fender flare? For example, maybe a wheel that would be flush on a Camaro would be slightly "in" on a TA, or vise versa. etc.

wheel offset isnt different, the birds have a more flared fender so that is why they set in further, some peeps with birds run a spacer to help make it look more proportional, i did this my self with a 1/4" spacer on my rear so the wheels look better in the fender opening

Swap my rims with yours in the rear. There flush as **** on my car so you'd be able to see if there sunk in on yours.

it shouldn't matter, the wheels might just need a spacer to sit more towards the fender.

I wanted to know since I've been looking into XXR 962 wheels and the offset is pushing it. SUPER close to sticking out, if not already doing so.

You have a different hub...and a spacer.

Lee what are the offsets? Mine are +38 up front + 40 rear. And guys run the rears up front all the time with RPM's.

Don't forget who loaned you that Koni top hat that you still owe me for, or who got your red car running again!

So I got the right answer from looking in the 17x11 thread on FRRAX. Firebirds definitely have a little bit more room in the back, and in the front, than a Camaro.

IMO, a 17" x 9", +35 offset shouldn't be a problem if the the rear end is centered, but if you just roll the fender lips your guarantied no issues.
