Default These lug washers are driving me

I have some new Weld RT-S wheels for the track that have the washers on the lug shank and the washers keep falling off inside the lug holes and then you can't get the lug nuts the rest of the way on.

My buddy has this same problem with his drag stars.

Anybody solved this headache?

Spray adhesive? Stick the washers all the way to the back with your finger, then start the nuts.

That's a idea. I miss the old weld style of washers exposed. I have fat fingers too lol

They can be tricky, best way is to use a delicate touch and thread them on by hand until they are on far enough that the washer can't fall off the shank. Again, threading them on by hand worked fine for me.

Oh and I forgot, once you get two lugs on snug them up and all the rest will be lined up and centered.

Lol.... I have the same problem its even worse when you have longer wheel studs, I've looked for a lug with the washer combo where they don't separate and had no luck.

What you have to do is take your time and be patient. Also when it falls of the lug nut rotate the wheel while continuing to tighten the lug nut as long as it is not wedged in between the lug and rim you can usually get the washer to fall back onto the lug nut without taking it back off and starting over.

I would start them all a few threads beofre the shank was in the rim. Then pick the wheel up and pull it out over the shanks, and tighten all the lugs is 2-3 steps around. So the rim was on the shanks while going down the studs, and a washer could not fall off.
