Default Tire Q?... help out a noob...

So I am looking into wheels and have found what I want, only issue is the ones I want only come in 18x9.5 with a 3" lip and 18x8 with a 1.75" lip... here in lies my dilemma... I was going to do the 9.5 all the way around but am not really into that much of a lip on all 4 corners, so unfortunately, I am gonna have to run an 18x8 up front.. I am putting 275/35 on the rear wheels, how wide can I realistically go up front on an 8" wheel? and can I keep a "35" side profile so it at least looks the same as the back when viewed from the side? like maybe a 255/35/18... would something like that work? ANY help is appreciated guys! If anyone has a similar set up Id love to see pics...

EDIT--- Just realized the offset for the 8"ers up front is only 35... will that work? I know 38+ is suggested for our cars...

The 35 number you reference is an aspect ratio denoted as a percentage of treadwidth. From there you should be able to match up tires so that the overall tire height is very close.

You should be able to do a 245/40R18 front and a 275/35R18 in the back. Those would have similar overall heights and fit the rims well.
