Default C5 Deep Dish VS ccw500s

Hello fellow F-body owners.
I need your help making a decision..... I have a 99 TA that I've been modifying for a while now. I still have the stock 16inch chrome rims & looking to upgrade.....I want a rim that comes in 19 for the rear, 18 for the fronts......I've narrowed it down to the replica c5 zo6's....ccw 500's ......c5 deep dishes......My ? is: What is the major difference between the c5 deep dish and the ccw 500????? beside the MASSIVE $400 per rim price difference!!!. . . I cant see any notable difference just by looking at them both online....

PS: Please post pics if you have any c5 deep dishes zo6 or ccw 500's

Thank you in advance!

(Ps part2: My trans am has high millage (near 200k to be exact)I Been debating whether I should stop throwing money into my TA & save up for a mid millage C6... ....The used c6 corvettes are selling for 27 - 35k....& I know the choice is all mine so I want to know how many of you guys would go with option 3: > SCREW THE RIMS.....BUY A C6.......)

Thanks again!

Ive stated this before in other threads but replica Vette wheels and CCWs arent even in the same category. Cast replica wheels are heavy and usually available in pretty shitty offsets for our cars. If you go with OEwheels you have to deal with Vette centercaps which is retarded. CCWs are amazing wheels and the most affordable custom forged wheel on the market for our cars. Its not only lighter but they are custom built and look 100x better in person. I personally wouldnt throw $3500 on wheels and tires for a high mileage, probably at least 10 year old car that you arent even sure if you wanna keep it.

I can't justify putting a set of wheels on a car that is worth as much or more than the vehicle itself.

ccw is just top of the line, oe wheels are nice but you just cant compare something that high end to oe wheels.i have been kicking the idea of selling my car for a c5zo6 for sometime now, i just cant sell my ss, ill never get the money back out of it and for what it would sell for i would just be better off keeping it. i still look at the cars for sale on here though and you can get a fully built car 10x cheaper tha you can build one for.

lol agree, i really love the c6s but op you should also look around at c5zo6s, i have seen some really nice ones with low miles and great prices. but it depends on what you wanna spend ,if you have the coin go c6, if your trying to get a sick car and not go broke a c5z would be a great buy.

^ I like the way the C6's Look more so than the c5's....
So I'd be way more likely to buy a used C6 than a C5 zo6......
I love the way the ccw 500s make the c5's look as well.....ccw's are just some badaz Rims!

I like certain C5's, but in general I prefer the C6.

That's prob the best route if you really want one, just start saving for the Vette and skip the wheels.

If your current wheels really bother you though, start looking for used wheels, they come up for sale all the time. Even a used set of WS6 wheels will be a big improvement over 16's.

the ls3 c6's hands down...especially once you start to mod them. To the op everyone in this thread is correct in person the sp500's are much nicer then the dd c5's. I saw a g8 that had them in person and they were much nicer then my wheels, eventually i want to get those wheels.

It's like this buddy.U always get every answer or opinion that u didnt ask for but the ccw just has a unique sheen and look cause they are forged and alot more money .The mileage or year of ya car has nothing to do with what it's worth if u r a custom guy and can build ya motor or whatever if need be.That lol bit of weight most of them worry bout doesnt matter anyway cause they will never be a serious race car anyway or have enough hp to matter.A serious drag racer then yes, everything matters but most people r just daily drivers who want a fun car.Lots of people just have more money than they do sense but as long as u can restore it as u go then u will be good to go
